Jamaluddin School is a government primary school which is the second primary school opened in Male’, the capital of Maldives. The school was inaugurated on 16th of February 1985 by the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. The school is named after the famous religious scholar Mohamed Jamaluddin, better known as Vaadhoo Dhanna Kaleyfaanu. Jamaluddin was fortunate to shift to a complete new building with modern facilities in the year 2000.

Jamaluddin plays an important role in the development of the exceptional child. We have a class for the hearing impaired children. Their classes are conducted according to the normal curriculum of the school. Apart from classroom activities these children are offered vocational training like sewing, typing, daily life skills and computer studies. These children have the opportunity to take part in school concert, sports meet and other ECA along with normal students. At present we have a total of 22 children.
